With over 20 years of experience in horticulture, they expanded in 2023 to include a plant nursery, offering a wide selection of plants and flowers for both retail and wholesale customers. Known for expert advice and personalized service, Willow Shade Nursery is developing a greenhouse and a “pick-your-own garden” experience. They also provide landscaping, mowing, property maintenance, driveway seal-coating, and mulching. Our Story
Willow Shade Nursery, located in Culpeper, Virginia, is a family- and veteran-owned business offering a wide range of landscaping services and nursery products to the local community. Founded in 2018 by Jessica and Joshua, the business originally began as a landscaping and property maintenance company. With over 20 years of combined experience in horticulture, landscaping, and plant care, the couple decided to expand their services in 2023 by opening a full-service plant nursery. Their goal was to provide the same quality plants they had been maintaining for years directly to their customers, both as a wholesaler and retailer.
The nursery has quickly become a trusted destination for garden enthusiasts, homeowners, and property managers alike. Willow Shade Nursery offers a wide selection of plants including annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, houseplants, and hanging baskets. The selection of native plants here is fabulous! And the owner is knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful. I'm working on having a pollinator garden and have some issues with deer, rabbits and sometimes groundhogs. The owner was able to steer me in the direction of deer and rabbit resistant plants that are also attractive to pollinators of all kinds. All the plants I bought are in my garden and thriving! The prices are good too, and I look forward to going back for more! I highly recommend this locally owned nursery for gardeners of all stages of expertise.
